About us

At Gulcheen, we believe in the power of pieces that feel personal, intentional, and timeless.

Our name means the process of handpicking flowers — a reflection of the care, tenderness, and thought behind every design. We draw from traditional South Asian artistry and blend it with contemporary, bohemian influences to create jewellery that speaks to both heritage and modern expression.

Each piece is handcrafted using earthy metals like brass, copper, and bronze, often combined with delicate threadwork. Many of our designs are adorned with antique elements sourced from Rajasthan, India — fragments of history that carry their own stories and soul. We work with micro macramé — a slow, intricate knotting technique rooted in traditional macramé craft. The process is done entirely by hand, in a rhythm that feels meditative and grounding. For us, it's more than just technique — it’s a form of healing, focus, and connection, both for the maker and the wearer.

With a focus on sustainability, cultural representation, and mindful craftsmanship, Gulcheen is where the past and present meet — thoughtfully, and beautifully.
